Pilgrim hops - Anyone used em?
Hi all,
Was going to brew today but instead I have to clean and do other "important things" but I had a quick look to see what I got and noticed a packet of un opened pilgrim hops (10.9aa). I have heard that they are a dual purpose and smell/taste a bit like pinapple.
I was wondering if anyone has used them at all, I was going for a single hop beer this time so I thought they may be nice.

Morning Nath, no not one I've used but look good and you'll get a good idea of what they are like if you go for a single hop pale ale. They are supposed to be a bit like Target/challenger so should be fine on there own.
Let us know how they turn out.

Cool I was toying with a bit of crystal malt (only about 3% - 150g) to add a smidgin of malt flavour and colour and I need to use up a bit of munich so I could pop that in.
I will put up some recipes to see what people think anyhoo

Yeah, why not. Obviously the crystal will give flavour which will make the hops less prominent but go for it.
I'm planning a brew day soon. Think it will be a double brew day but beers TBC. Probably a stock pale and another Rocker style high IBU/ABV as I really enjoyed that one. Different hops this time, I think Amarillo will be aroma and possible crystal/cascade for bitterness/flavour.
