hammy1801NOG Rescued from the cold.

Hi All
Started my fourth brew last week a Woodforde NOG, all was going well until Friday when due to unforseen circumstances I had to move the fermenting bin into the shed for the weekend. Cold snap on Sat and Sun night great!! Moved it back indoors Monday morning and everything had stopped, no bubbles in the air lock, gravity had dropped from 1.042 to 1.018 and temperature was below 16 degrees. Brew was cold to touch so decided to warm brew up to 20/22 degrees by placing the fermenter in warm water in bath. Air lock started bubbling so hopefully fermentation back on track.
Has anyone else had to go off the beaten path to rescue a brew??

Planning - Single Hop Pale Ale.
Fermenting - Coopers Canadian Blonde
Conditioning - Coopers Pilsner, Coopers English Bitter
Drinking - None

Ive been really lucky with all my brews, either at a nice warm room temp or in the brewfridge. Luckily for us the beer wants us to drink it, so if its stopped as its too cold, like you said, warm her up again and she's good to go....

Drinkin' - nowt, it's all gone
    Plannin'-
Loads a beer after an upgrade!

    Cool
Just checked, gravity now down to 1.010 and still bubling in the air lock once or twice a minute, hopefully keg in a couple of days. Cant wait to try this stuff after reading the reviews.
