I have discoverd a new trick to prevent the need to "syphon" conventionaly

I have fitted taps to all of my Fv's now. When it comes time to move to the scondary fv, i simply:

Place a sterilised tea strainer over the tap inlet.
Sterilise outside of tap and rinse off.
Attach sterilised and rinsed syphon tube to the tap.
Pop the other end in the secondary FV with the "weight/filter" on the end
Turn the tap on.

No standing round holding the syphon in the FV and having it pop out. The tea strainer prevents any bits coming through
