hi folks,

wherry has been nicely bubbling since wednesday evening. back from work today and there are no bubbles and the reading is the same as it was yesterday evening; 1020. what's going on?

    I would give it gentle stir with a sterilised spoon.

    Sometimes yeast takes "rest" for a day or two after it is done with simple sugars and then starts on more complex sugars in a brew without producing much CO2 or bubbling - I would wait 2-3 days before doing anything, just taking SG readings - you should see it dropping without signs of very active fermentation. If your SG readings dont change in this time, give it a stir as Greg proposed.
