A homebrewing club in Bristol. Having sent months meeting in people's kitchens, we'll be having our first more public meeting. Our new home is upstairs in the Miners Arms in St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9YQ.

We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 7.30pm. Next meeting 10th February 2011.

Bring homebrew, but please no more than two bottles each.

Nice one Ali, bit far for me but hope it all goes well. We are looking to do the same here so maybe we can all meet up once we get things up and running.

Great stuff. How did you go about getting a venue? Was it just a case of ringing around?

The venue is a pub local to me that is one of five or so pubs owned by a micro-brewery (Dawkins Ales). I had them in mind, and it was something of a case of pushing on an open door as they see this as a way to promote real beer and bring in business.
