Hey Tony lol... if only. I've left my brew for 2 weeks now in the secondary fermentation and can't decide whether to try it or not?

With reference to my message good spot! When i put the original up for some reason when i added the link it didn't show up. So i added the second one and damn me if the first one i'd put up showed up. So not sure whether one can be deleted? Could you have a word in the big mans ear? (Greg) or do you happen to know how it's done?

Ok so i finally caved in and tried my homebrew one word WOW! In fact no WOW and WOW again.

It came out crystal clear so Irish Moss works a treat!. The taste was phenomanal a nice hoppy taste with a coriander kick too which lingered on my tongue for a while. The head was great so must have good pressure in there too.

I finally took the F.G measurement and with my previous reading i'd managed 4.0% abv. So was please with that too.

For a recipie i cobbled together with left over ingredients got to be happy with the result. I love this new hobby of mine. Now time for another pint....

Makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it, Neil? That first shocking realisation: 'What the hell - it bloody worked!!' is one to remember.

I only recently started using Irish Moss and I can't believe the difference it's made in post-boil clarity. Funny what a few bits of dried seaweed can do

    -Barry

Planning: Marstons Pedigree or London Pride clone
Conditioning (Bottles): Sam Adams Boston Lager Clone
Drinking (Bottles): Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone
Drinking (King Keg): McMullen's Country Best Bitter

    You're not wrong there Barry...

Don't get me wrong i love going to the pub for a pint who doesn't? But there is something about the taste of your own brew. Knowing when you drink it that you made it no one else... Trouble is i've got itchy fingers to make another one up now.

I know who'd have thought bits of seaweed would do such a good job?

My other half isn't much of an ale drinker. However, she tried some of mine and was impressed. If i can please her then i am half way there

Well Ive called all my local supermarkets and cant find any of the packs apart from Punk. Its a shame as trashy blonde was great and I would love to try some others.

I will have to console myself with a few tonight methinks.

Well done BM ... trouble is, now you've 'broken the seal' so to speak ... how long will it last?

    Good man :o)

Y'know .. I've been thinking and I'd rather have a good pint of Proper Job than anything brewdog produce... when I get that recipe right I'll publish and be damned! :o) (More to follow)
