moving from keg to bottle
I wondered if it is possible to pour some of my wherry into a bottle from my keg.
the wherry is perfectly clear and tastes great I just wanted to give someone a sample, if I put half teaspoon of sugar in the bottle will it be ok or is this unwise to even try.
the wherry has been in the barrel for a month or so now.
I am about to bottle my St Peters IPA tonight as usual I keep forgetting to take gravity readings it has been in the primary fermeton for just under two weeks now and stopped bubbling 4 days ago do you think it is safe to bottle.
Note to self take a bloody reading next time.
thanks for any advice

Not done it myself but I'm sure I've read several posts saying yes you can do it.
Add the sugar and fill the bottle to within an inch or so from the top. Do it gently getting as little oxygen into the beer as possible.
I think I also read that if you leave the cap on loose for an hour before capping it properly, it'll give the beer a chance to ferment a little, producing some C02 that'll may push to oxygen out. But since your beer is already kegged it may be at a relatively low temp which means it may take a lot longer that an hour to start the fermentation.
It's probably more important that the current gravity remains constant to indicate the fermentation has stopped. If it's the same for 2 or 3 days in a row it's ready to bottle/keg.
