Okay we made it back in one piece and I can remember coming home (which is a bonus) although there was definitely signs of a stumble as I walked down the road at midnight.

Some great beer, some bland beers but no horrible beers. 1/2's all the way.

The 2 highlights for me where FFF Pale Ale, really nice hoppy beer. IPA style hopping although it was only 4%. The other great beer was Hopback English Wheat beer. Not cloudy and slightly amber but really smooth and tasty.

Nath and I where the biggest beer nerds at the event as we broke down the taste of every beer, well until we had drunk about 10 each anyway then we didn't really care too much!!

Slightly jaded this morning but not really hungover which is an extra bonus!

    Planning:Maybe a lager.

Gota agree with greg the FFF was really nice though I did like the otter beer, but then I have always liked otter....... Not the animal, the beer that is!

Not excatly the biggest festival and they didnt tap all the ales as there wasnt too many people but all in all a crackin night, with a crackin headache to follow!

    Greg/Nath,

Glad you both had a good one. I went to a beer festival yesterday too. 56 ales to choose from and i managed 7 different halves.

My favourite ale has to be by Cotswold Spring - Apricot Harvest @ 4.7% abv. It was a light amber ale flavoured with Amarillo hops and fresh apricots. I don't normally go for a second half of the same ale but this was blooming lovely. You could really taste the apricots and hops too.

I did feel a bit fuzzy this morning i must admit but it soon cleared after an nice fry up...

Can't wait for my next ale festival..

Hi Neil, that sounds like a very interesting brew. Never heard or thought of adding apricots but may give it a go.

    Planning:Maybe a lager.

    Greg,

To be honest i've never heard or thought of adding apricots to an ale. It sounds wrong for all reasons as you can imagine. Yet this tasted lovely and it worked a treat! One of the nicest pints of drunk in ages. Perfect for a summer evening.
