BazzaLeaether Strip

So it's the weekend of myself and the wife's 3rd wedding anniversary and I'm relaxing to some of the Sarah Hughes Ruby from the GW book which I bottled a few weeks ago. Lovely drop; I strongly recommend that recipe.

The missus has fallen asleep and I'm listening to some Danish darkwave music and supping the second nicest brew to the Hop Back Summer Lightning from Mr GW.

Happy anniversary Bazza & mrs Bazza! I'll not make any links between the title of your message and the statement ' the missus has fallen asleep'

    Thanks guys.

I feel I must quickly point out that Leaether Strip is the name of the Danish band. *psst..Mrs Bazza - you reckon they bought that?*
Mrs Bazza is heavily pregnant and sleeps a lot, while her husband drinks his homebrew and posts drunken messages on forums and sends drunken texts to the mates he rarely gets out with now. That's about as exciting as it gets.

But I will repeat: My 2 favourite GW recipes so far are Hop Back Summer Lightning and Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby. Also have his Exe Valley Autumn Glory in the keg and the Ringwood 49er busy fermenting. That book is my bible; I even took it on holiday with me. How sad is that?

    Hi Greg,

No this will be number 2. We've a 17-month-old daughter as well. Talk about life-changing. All for the good, but

Nice one Bazza, I stopped after no 2 as no 2 turned into no 666 at times! Now I never go out either but then the amount I have spent on homebrew parafinalia I could have. But then I would be an alcoholoc where as with hombrew im a hobbiest!

2 here too .. and as you both, I never get to go out anymore. I too send drunken text messages to mates I never see any more .. usually whilst watching the footie!

Same here. I do get to sneak a quick pint in down the pub quite often which I actually enjoy more than necking loads on a night out.

Hence why I'm up and awake at 7.30am on a Sunday. The kids are away but still force of habit these days.

    Planning:Maybe a lager.

Likewise! Although my two slept late this morning and allowed me a lie-in. They didn't wake me up until 6.10

Now, kids fed, washed and dressed, dishes washed, tea made and I'm eventually sitting down!

God Tony/Greg how do you do it? I'd love it if my 2 horrors sorry boys slept in late. But as per the norm they got me up at 6am! Even on a Sunday!

Of to watch the Northampton Saints vs Leicester Tigers today so come back and they'll be asleep and i will be tackling (no pun intended) my homebrew when i get home.

Congratulations though Bazza... my 9th anniversary is coming up soon. Wonder what i should get Mrs Neil? I know a 5 gallon beer barrel. She will be so annoyed she will give it to me instead hurrah!

I can't wait that long. I need an excuse now. Was looking at a lovely SS boiler earlier - 50ltrs and all the trimmings.

Just as well the missus is around though - as before the wife and kids I wouldn't have thought twice about bunging that on a credit card
