Home Brewing Anniversary
It's been a year since I started brewing and, after a slow start, I'm really in the groove.
It started with making pear cider from the two pear trees we have. 6 hours, one broken home press, much swearing and head scratching later, I had 3 gallons of green ditch water. Six months later I had a clear, pear aroma filled liquid that still tasted of ditch water! I put this down to me having absolutely no clue about what I was doing.
I've learned quite a bit since then. I have 2 kits and 6 extract brews under my belt now. I've got a Turbo Cider fermenting at the moment and my first AG (albeit BIAB) planned for next week! All of the brews have come out very well. Some have even been excellent (Tony's Tribute clone for one).
I look forward to more AG brewing in the next 12 months and might evening acquire a proper mash tun and boiler. Who knows. One thing is sure. I will be home brewing until I can no longer pick up a 5 gallon FV full of beer or maybe until I can't pick up a 1 gallon demijohn. Hang on I could still pick up a 1 gallon plastic water bottle. Surely?
Fermenting:
Condtioning: Twibute Clone
Drinking: 100% wheat, Fixby Gold
