What are you syphoning from and too?

Syphoning is pretty easy, it works with gravity.
So make sure the container with the wine in is higher up than the container you want the wine to end up in.

Fill the syphon tube with wine.

I find submerging the whole tube works well.
Coil the tube into the wine to make sure you don't get any air bubbles in the pipe.
Don't get your hand wet, so leave a few inches of tube out of the beer. Put you thumb over the end of the tube so you don't spill any wine at the next part.

Move the pipe into your new container, and take you thumb off the end of the pipe.
Gravity will take care of the rest.

Or you can just suck the wine up the pipe. But I don't like doing that.
If you're using demi johns that might be easier.

If you're filling bottles you'll probably want a tap because stopping and starting a syphon is a pain.

Let us know how it goes.
