hello from rugby
Hi all,
just found this site and looks alot better than another one I've been using (problems with getting stuff delivered in under 6 weeks)
I started brewing a couple of different wines a year (2 demijohns of each) 2 years ago. having finaly moved
out of my parents in march at the age of 30 I've added 3 pressure barrels to my kit (still thinking i need another 1 or 2 ) and have been brewing my own ales, only from kits so far. just started to try the double
can kits after a few singles and I must say they're worth the extra money. the 1 single can kit that I really enjoyed was "tom caxtons real ale".
The only problem I'm finding with brewing so far is leaving the beer conditioning in the PB for 2 months
but I'm guessing every one suffers from that problem
Conditioning - Woodfords Great eastern ale, Parsnip wine, Rhubarb wine.
Brewing - nothing at the minute
Planing - Coopers ginger beer, 5L turbo peach thanks to bmsleight, maybe beetroot wine if there enough spare on the alotment,

Hi and welcome to the forum.
2 months, mine never last that long. Although all grain beer is ready much quicker than kits.
Fermenting:

Welcome.
Patients is the hardest skill to acquire with this lark. Waiting for fermentation, primary and secondary in some cases! Then that long, long wait for conditioning. To be honest I've never managed it yet. I guess the trick is to keep brewing while you wait and then at some point in the future you'll always have a fully condition beer handy! But possibly no room to sit down and no other half!
Fermenting:
Condtioning: Twibute Clone
Drinking: 100% wheat, Fixby Gold

yep I think if i'd got 5 barrels instead of 3 the waiting wouldn't be so much of a problem. well I've got a big garage so I'm sure they will apear soon enough. I'm getting married in 3 weeks so I think I'd better wait until after that then sneak them in 1 at a time

With regard to waiting - wait a week to sample and then start in earnest at two weeks!
(with grateful thanks to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and slightly adapted)
