Hello another london brewer here
Well i have finally decided to start this hobby and the fact i convinced my mother that i need her garage more than she does as i only live in a flat at present.
Ive decided to go with the Woodfordes Microbrewery Premium 40 Pint Starter Set.Im already condisdering picking up another Fv and barrel so i can have more than one on the go but dont know if i should just do the one for now.Dont wanna jump the gun
My only concern i got as i will be brewing in the garage is the temp.I was considering the Heater Pad - 25 Litre Ferment bin on the site.Sorry to sound rather stupid but the kit comes with a 33lt bin does that mean it will not get the heat require from that pad.
Failing that i spotted a discarded fridge at work the other day so considerd making that into a heater.
Fermenting:
Conditioning: Elderflower wine,Dandelion wine,Ribena wine,summer ale
Drinking: Turbo Cider/summer ale/way to amarillo/funked up wherry

Hi Beerlover I started my first (st peters micro kit with Ruby Red Ale) two days ago. I also am thinking about another keg but only using one FV. I may start another run next week.
5 gal St Peters Golden Ale as per tin
Youngs Harvest Mild
all a bit moded

Hey beerlover
I'm in london too .. shout if I can help. I did kits a long time ago so probably not a lot of help with that as my memory has seen better days
I have both a heater pad here and a heater belt but never used either. I would suggest that the belt would be better suited to your FV rather than the pad as those tend to be designed for wine. I'm sure someone in here has tried it though! I'd go with the 'fridge conversion if you are able.
Jump the gun ... naaaaaahhh! Go for it, the more you have on the go the better!
(with grateful thanks to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and slightly adapted)
