Brew UK Forum | Guestbook
Hello!
As is customary, as my first post i thought i'd say Hi!
Started my first brew last night (Coopers IPA) under the watchful eye of my Father who claims to have previous experience, although it is my understanding his last attempt resulted in an exploding FV, beer drenching our kitchen floor to ceiling on the day my brother was born, some 32 years ago, so I thought i'd sign up here and get some up to date advice
Others posts have already provided me with a wealth of information, so look forward to learning & sharing with you guys.
thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam and welcome to the forum. Feel free to fire away with any questions also we'll be happy to hear about your brewing experiences. Sounds like Dads advice may be taken with a pinch of salt, especially if he managed to explode the FV.
Things have moved on a lot since back in the day and its easier than ever to produce great beers and wines, mainly due to the great choice of fresh ingredients.
Regards
Greg

Hiya Sam,
The good old days with dodgy old beers to the good new days with great kit beers!
Enjoy, its a keeper this hobby! Not only does it keep you busy with maths for a brain work out (well hydrometer readings and abv calculations), keep you physically fit (lifting up 25kg of liqour) but will also make you charming, handsome and a great public speaker.
(please note - some of the above may be a lie....... especially as you will be drinking your hobby)
Conditionin' - LEB Pale
Conditionin' - Thwaits Nutty Black
Plannin' - A user upper!
