Have I just ruined the first kit?!
OK, in my excitement and exuberance at making my first kit...I didn't rinse out my FV after sterilising. I gave it a good thorough shake and got all the frothy bits out so it was pretty dry when I stuck the kit into it, but have I ballsed it up by not rinsing?!
Proper newbie mistake this I reckon!!??

I'd say not a problem. All the gasses will have dissapated. And any residue is in such a solution before you pitch the yeast that it is trace.

Ive never used it but trawling around the net it seems that half of the people who use it rinse while the other half dont! Apparently its labled as a no rinse so dont be too put off. How is the brew going at the moment, fermenting fine? If so then sit back and see what happens when your bottling/kegging.

Fermenting was a bit sluggish as the temperature dropped a bit. It was left in the (unheated) shed on Saturday night with just a blanket. Brought it into the house for last night, still with blanket and it appears to have kick-started it again!
Hopefully all is well, we'll have to see when it's time for secondary fermentation.
