In a strange twist of fate, today is the one day over the holidays that I'm not hungover. I was planning a NY day brewday but I've just adopted a lizard so I'm spending the day getting her settled.

Happy New Year to all and all the best for 2011.

I had a pretty quiet one although I did end up staying up pretty late watching Jools Holland and made a fatal mistake of a whiskey coffee at 1am and then I couldn't sleep.

    Happy new year everyone.

I'm gonna have to step up this year and get some beers made.

I had a quiet one last night.
After a few quite disastrous new years eve parties I've decided to keep a low profile for the last couple of years.
I stayed in and watched Die Hard 4.0 on Film Four, which was much more fun than any of the new years party I can remember (and probably better than the ones I don't).

    Happy New Year everyone.

Mine was supposed to be a quiet one but some of my family showed up and I started into my homebrew. I woke, sitting upright in the couch at 7am. Wouldn't have minded so much but it was my night to get up and feed the baby. Missus was tired and unimpressed.

It's a lovely feeling, though, getting merry and lucid on your own creation.

I remember Jools Holland being on, and me being none too subtle in oogling Kylie and wondering how Greg Wallace managed to get a front row seat.

Planning: More SNPA, more experimental cider
    Fermenting: Marston's Pedigree
    Conditioning (Bottles): Warsteiner Lager Clone

Had a quiet one too .. stayed at home drinking beer, wine and whatever. Watched 'Red' (Bruce Willis) and then Kylie on Jools'. Wasn't she amazing!

    Who is Greg Wallace?

Beer will get you through the times of no money better than money will get you through the times of no beer

Greg is the bald bespecled guy who hosts Masterchef and takes too long to pull the spoon out of his mouth (am I the only one who's noticed this?)

Kylie, on the other hand, is mine, Tony. Step back.

Happy New Year to you all....

Only just come around to feeling human again. We had friends around last night and they're into home brewing and had bought some around. My god it was good! A nice stout so polished that off. Then a couple of cans of the Old Speckled Hen followed by a bottle of my Sozzled Santa to round of the night. I think it might have been the Old Speckled Hen that did it.

Must have been good as well because i ended up playing Just Dance 2 on the Wii and jumping around to Fat Boy Slim's Funk Soul Brother...

I sincerly hope 2011 is a good brewing year for us all and long may it continue!
