I regularly add glycerin to home made liqueurs to give a richer mouth-feel. Has anybody tried this in their beer? Not sure whether to commit a batch to the treatment or not!

Planning: Hardcore IPA clone
Fermenting: Damson pale
Conditioning: Morello Cherry Lambic 2
Drinking: Schneider Weisse Tap 7 clone, Morello Cherry Lambic 1, Rauchbier

Yeah, no point in risking a complete batch.

Might be interesting to try in a couple of bottles, though ?

Personally I go for the least additives the better.

How are you brewing your beer?

If you want more mouthfeel I would use a lower attenuation yeast, or if you're set up to do AG mash at a higher temperature. Or a combination of both.

I have used Glycerin in my latest Nitro cider.
