I made the above up on the 15th of mar with an added 250g of dark extract. Put it in the keg on the 25th. looked at it today and its a very drark drink with a soft full but light taste. It seems to me a bit of a warm day feet up sort of drink. Now then has anyone else tried this kit? and what Pub Beer is the kit closed to? I have tasted something like it befor but cant think where

Ive never done it but I can tell you one thing - the taste will change lots over the next 4 weeks. Conditioning in the keg will make malt and hops in the beer combine better, mellow etc etc.

Yes I have noticed that even in the last two days Now I just have to try and keep my hands off it for 4 weeks Er on the other hand I could do another batch and test this one a bit more

    Im the same matey,

Cant seem to leave the stuff alon. It always tastes its best when the kegs about to finish! You gotta have a decent rolling stock going, at least 2 barrels needed. Im up to 4 kegs and 40 bottles now!

That will help for storing But I need a good shed to move the making bit into. At the mo I am still playing with kits and trying diff malts and having the time of my life

    Heres what ya do:-

    1. - Gather lots of brewing parafanilia - boilers, hops, malt mash tuns, kegs, fv's, yeast, taps, ladles etc etc

    2. - Put it round the house - EVERYWHERE

    3. - Wait until she sasys something like - "Get rid of this flippin brew cr@p NOW!"

    4. - Buy a large 10x12 shed.

    Sorted!
