Geordie Bitter
I started the above on 2/3 as per the tin but will 250g medium dme Got a reading og 1.040 Put it in the kig with 2 1/2 oz sugar and into the keg at 1.006. I just took a look at it and it is clearing well BUT after two tries with 2 hydros it is now reading 1.004 Now for the question What the hell did I get right? and has anyone else tried this and what did it do? I have also just tried a glass of it morish taste but def not a mid week lunch time drink

Sorry pete, cant quite make yer post out! Im thinking either predictive text or a few beers!
Im thinking that the 1.006 would have turned to around 1.004 because when you prime a keg the yeast in suspension will convert the sugar to alcohol and c02. So in answer to that you got everything right! It come in about 4.7%

sorry about the post Nath it was after I tried it just a sip its got a kick like a shirehorse so I will take it that I got it right

It seems a good beer to try things with to get some better idea of what adding hops malt etc do. Sorryabout my spelling I could not pass an English "O" level even if I was on a bike

Just having a glass of the above Its as clear as a bell but with very little bead. It reminds me in some ways of the sort of beer made in Bucks, Henley Brewery? years ago.
