Hi Dan, looks fine to me. Not made one before myself.

Personally I would change the yeast to wyeast 2112 Cal Lager as this is more authentic but I guess s23 would do the job. Assume you are fermenting at 18c+?

    Planning:Maybe a lager.
    Fermenting:
    Conditioning:Pale with Styrians
    Drinking:Cascade Pale Ale, Summer Lightning

    Recipe looks good Dan.

I used 2112 for my steam beer.
It fermented too warm and the esters went haywire. Making the beer pretty much undrinkable.
I keep meaning to give this one another go, reusing the yeast from the last batch. But Ijust haven't found the time.

Cheers, I'm trying to use up the yeast i have in the fridge before they go out of date and s-23 is one of them.

Yeah going to be fermented at room temp.

S23 is fine at room temps, I've done a few extract lagers in my time at room temp with s23. Not as crisp as lagers, more like a blond ale but very nice and drinkable.

    Planning:Maybe a lager.

Dan, have you done this? If so, what temp did you ferment at and have you sampled yet? Dying to know if its a winner
    :o)

Beer will get you through the times of no money better than money will get you through the times of no beer
