Friar Tuck's Ginger Essence
Hi all
years back .. and I'm talking at least 20 here, I was able to buy (from the chemist) Friar Tuck's Ginger Essence. Fantastic stuff this and was used to make some cracking ginger wine.
I can't seem to find this stuff anywhere .. if anyone knows where I can get it - or a good alternative, shout!
Cheers!

Hi Tony, This may be a suitable substitute Riddles Ginger Wine compound
Looks like a similar product and they used to sell it in boots but don't any more. I think this is the only one still available.
Fermenting:

Hi Greg
Excellent - many thanks! Now .. just to get the missus to understand that I need to make 5 gals of ginger wine to go with the 5 gals of ginger beer and the 5 gals of IPA that I'm making next week. the ginger beer has been fermenting away merrily now for 6 days!
