TommoFitting an airlock to the standard FV lid.

10 months ago | Tommo (Member)

Hi guys,

I'm learning that it would be very beneficial to have an airlock fitted to my FV lit. As i'n nearing the end og the fermenting process on my first ever brew, i keep monitioring it avidly.

I've taken to pushing the bulging lid down, to force the co2 out, then check to see how quickly it rises again over the day. An airlock would be much, much easier I feel.

So how easy are they to retro-fit, and what is the process...?

Drill a hole, push the grommet in and put the airlock into the grommet - easy!
