Fish & Chips
I apologise this has nothing to do with brewing as such, but has anyone tried to make beer batter with their beer & if so, what types of beer make the best batter for your traditional English dinner?
Conditioning: Witbier Mashkit & St Peters Ruby
Drinking: Tea
Planning: Rauchbier & German Pilsner Mashkit

Woodfordes Wherry or Great Easter makes very nice batter with beer. I've eaten it a fair bit around here in Norfolk

I would of thought a lager type beer would be best due to the carbonation level, should make the batter lighter because of all the bubbles!
In fact we should tell everyone that its all lager is good for, coz you certainly shouldnt drink the bloody stuff

Hestons triple cook chips are amazing, I've made them a few times but they are a lot of effort.
Not tried making home made battered fish as yet but I think a nice bottled ale would do the job. I think Badger Tanglefoot would be good or what about St Austell Proper Job for an interesting twist.
