Extract #4 - Black Cat Pale Ale
This will be my first recipe I've created. I'm sure it's probably been done before but I started from scratch. Honest!
--------------------------
Batch Size: 18.93 L
Boil Size: 7.38 L
Estimated OG: 1.040 SG
Estimated Color: 9.7 SRM
Estimated IBU: 41.2 IBU
Boil Time: 60 Minutes
Ingredients:
------------
Amount Item Type % or IBU
2.00 kg Light Dry Extract (8.0 SRM) Dry Extract 78.43 %
0.30 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 11.77 %
0.25 kg Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM) Grain 9.80 %
50.00 gm Fuggles [4.50 %] (60 min) Hops 15.4 IBU
30.00 gm Styrian Goldings [5.40 %] (30 min) (AromaHops -
20.00 gm Amarillo [9.50 %] (15 min) Hops 12.9 IBU
1 Pkgs Nottingham (Danstar #-) Yeast-Ale
I'm going for the Boil the Hops not the Extract approach again and thinking of dry hopping with 10g of Amarillo as well.
The recipe is born from me having Fuggles and Styrians left over from my attempt at Tony's Tribute clone. Also, I love the smell of the Amarillo hops. So fingers cross.
All comments welcome!

Looks good to me. You can't really go too wrong with those hops. The only thing I would say is that perhaps the Styrians will get lost with a strong aroma hop like Amarillo but give it a go, I'm sure it will taste good!

Thanks Greg
They're left over so I'm going to chuck them in and see what happens.
