A request to Nath or Greg
Can you delete all the pages except the current page being posted on?
Look at one word game, it is on it's 12th page hence 11 pages clogging up the site and the movie game is now on page 4 as well.

Planning-Connoiseur Johannisberg Riesling
Fermenting-Nowt
Conditioning-Proper Job Comp Beer,Kenridge White Merlot
Drinking-Raspberry/Lime cider,Grenache Blush Rose,Coopers modified lager
SG Chardonnay Wine

Is the site getting clogged up Mate? Seems to be working fine at my end... A 'go to last post' button would be helpful though.

It’s funny how women change. I never really noticed it until I set up my hidden webcam in Top Shop.

Drinking: Flasher the Dasher, St Peter's Ruby, Thunderbolt, Beam Reach, the last few bottles of Autumn Cider.
    Fermenting: TTL and WTA.

My mod buttons are fairly limited and deleting a page or selection of pages at a time ain't one of em unfortunately. I dunno if Greg has anything different but a go to last post button would make life easier

Drinkin' - nowt, it's all gone
    Plannin'-
Loads a beer after an upgrade!

No you misunderstand Seamus, it works fine my end but what is the point of having endless pages going on and on and on. Just me i suppose as i like things to be neat and no clutter.

Yes Nath maybe a goto last post button would be a good idea.
Maybe when you speak to Greg next perhaps you could ask and see if he can delete the old pages as he may miss this post as i know he is still very busy.

Sorry, nothing we can do Mark except manually delete each post which will take too much time. We can only delete the whole tread. I have the same options as Nath.

Just start a new thread if you all wish which will achieve the same result.

Maybe the your title of 'rubbish' threads wasn't very apt... 'long' threads might have been better... and Yeah, Greg's suggestion would work... as would a 'jump to page' button.

It isn't apt Seamus but it stands out and even when the hierarchy are not posting i know they are observing and it would stand out to them.

I must say, it's so refreshing, and pleasing, to be using a forum that is small and well formed.

One of my other hobbies is Music, of the Rock and Metal variety, and I often use the forums belonging to one or other of the large UK festivals. On those, a thread that had 'only' reached 10 pages would be considered a non topic. Looking at the current top thread on one of them, regarding who may play in 2012, the discussion is currently on page 251.

What I mean is, It's great to have a forum that wants to keep tidy, but I would say there is a long way to go before BrewUK Forum is 'clogged up'.

Having said that, for those threads that tend to be longer, the games for example, other forums I've seen keep those threads from running away by re starting the thread on a weekly, monthly or even annual basis e.g
'The Movie Game - January Edition', allowing the post count to be cleaned up.

Also, and I don't know if this is already done here..

It's often a good idea to frequently delete threads that never got replies, or didn't answer the original question. This helps when using the forum search, allowing the threads of most use to be found.

I don't think we should consider deleting pages of a thread apart from the last one as we'll lose a load of useful info from "good" threads.
I must admit I don't care for the one word or movie game threads as they're just fillers but the actual brew related threads contain too much info to be reduced to just the last page!

Planning: One of the GW Mild recipes
    Fermenting: GW London Pride clone
Conditioning: GW Bathams clone & elderflower champagne
