Lol the TrollBright Beers

I know you can buy bright beers,
I'd like to take a barrel along to a party!
what is the best way to do this?
I have a filter! or should I add finnings?
any suggestions
regards

Lawrence

    Hi Lawrence,

I would secondary ferment the beer (possibly adding finnings) and leave to drop clear before you put it in the barrel. Then inject gas into the beer to dispense therefore eliminating the priming sugar and sediment in the barrel.

I've never done this myself but should work fine in theory.

    Alternatively bottle the beer.

    Planning:Maybe a lager.

    Thanks Greg,

    this is my interpretation

So brew in fermenter until complete, transfer to second fermenter leaving sediment behind, add finnings and leave to settle ( say a week) and than transfer to barrel.

Yep, and no priming sugar just inject some co2 through the cap (assuming you have a cap with a co2 valve in it).

    Conditionin'/Drinkin' - OPA Pale
    Conditionin' - LEB Pale
    Conditionin' - Thwaits Nutty Black
    Plannin' - A user upper!

I would transfer to secondary after about 4 or 5 days, then leave for about a week, add finnings, leave for a couple of days then barrel. Make sure its under airlock in the secondary though.

    Planning:Maybe a lager.
