Mr HBottle grenades

After reading Tony's lucky escape with his exploding ginger beer bottle it reminded me of a conversation I had the other day whilst talking to the guy who owns our local brew shop in Fareham. He had a young lad come in moaning about the sediment in his homebrew lager bottles - he said the small ones are ok to pour but the larger ones held 2 pints and as he poured pint number 2 he stirred up the sediment. Interested, the shop owner asked what bottles he had that held 2 pints to which the lad replied he was using wine bottles - and he left them on the floor of his garage close to where his 3 year old toddler had all his toys and liked playing! Jeez this lad has just invented a new way of playing Russian Roulette!

Planning - Golden ale with lots of Styrian hops
Conditioning - Theakston Old Peculier
Conditioning - Christmas 2010 (Strong Xmas ale)
Maturing - Peach wine kit
Drinking - Summer Lightning, Summer Wit

Jeeeeze .... having witnessed one of those bombs yesterday that is terrible!

I keep my clear beer bottles for cider and ginger beer. Love to know what the pressure was inside.

Poor little mites, they'll probably never know how lucky they were!

Beer will get you through the times of no money better than money will get you through the times of no beer
(with grateful thanks to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and slightly adapted)
