Beerbusters
Just been enjoying the new series of Mythbusters ... and it made me think (dangerous!). How about a Beerbusters forum - things you've heard that need to be busted or confirmed?
Like: 'I've heard that if you let your water sit overnight before a brew, the chlorine will disappear'.
What do you think?
Oh, by the way - the answer to that is yes, it's true - but the chloramine will still be there so best thing to do is use a campden tab.
Hmmm, would that be busted or not? Arrrggghh!!
(with grateful thanks to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and slightly adapted)

I was just looking at that post above and the good old Party 7 brought back loads of great memories of teenage parties. Happy days. I think I'll start a topic about it.

You just need a small amount of equipment to brew beer.
It's true that you can brew beer with minimal investment in kit BUT for some reason there's always something else to buy. Oh, bottling was a bit tricky. I think I'll just buy one of those Little Bottlers. Ah, and maybe one of the Bottle Trees and the Bottle Cleaner.
Oh, I just need a large stockpot to start Extract brewing. Hang on. For some inexplicable reason I seem to have bought a wort chiller and a boiler! Why did I do that? May as well start AG brewing then ... and so on.
Before you know it you've got a dedicated beer fridge in the garage and a strange cupboard contraption for keep beer warm!
