Check out the two Chute Villages and their pubs, Upper Chute has the Cross Keys and Lower Chute the Hatchet (13th Century).
Both do accomadation,dog friendly, if you fancy a weekend away Salisbury/ Stonehenge is 20 mins away.
The Cross Keys can even put your horse up! and has a beer festival next weekend.
Two other very good pubs in the area, is the Cricketers and Fox at Tangley.

Let me know if you're going, you can always meet up and have sneeky one at my house, there is a number of very good pubs in this part of Wiltshire/ Hants.
Its also very hilly and part of North Wessex Downs
