Badger Blandford Fly
Waitrose have 25% off loads of ales at the moment so I couldn't resist temptation and bought a selection for Saturday nights consumption.
Just opened a Badger Blandford Fly and was quite surprised by the contents. Brewed with Ginger and spice, unusual are really quite pleasant. Starts off with a ginger beer kind of taste but isn't overpowering. Really quite nice.
Like quite a few Badger beers (Golden Glory etc) is strong flavoured so sickly after more than one but I would recommend trying this one as its really different and tasty.

Hmmm ... now there's a reason to visit Waitrose this morning! Not a big fan of Badger and for exactly the reason you mention... but I like to think I have an open mind ... :o) (and an open mouth!)

I know what you mean. The badger beers are better down the pub as they are served very flat and are all the better for it.
Check St Austells Tribute if you haven't before. That's on special at Waitrose and its one of my favourites. There is a huge range down there, all at 25% off which makes it £1.2 odd per bottle, which is not bad at all.
I've got an abbott and a skinners left (which may have to be consumed tonight!)

I bought 4 yesterday from Sainsbury's and only have one left.. the Bombardier Satanic Mills which I love. I had a pint in whitherspoons yesterday... 'Thumper' have you heard of it? Rather wonderful to be honest! Also saw while I was in there that their Beer Festival starts on Wednesday and it looks like they have a lot of new beers coming in. I can foresee a rocky patch with the missus coming up :o)
I love Tribute... a thoroughly excellent pint!

Thumper is a ringwood beer. They are all nice, the Ringwood best is my favourite, especially on tap. Served in most pubs round here as the brewery is pretty close by. 48er is also a nice beer from them. All have a nice crystal malt flavour.
Never tried a satanic mills but I'll look out for that one.
Have you tried the hop back beers? Taiphoon is really nice, in small doses.

Sounds like you got a good stash. I guess you are on half term so no school tomorrow then?
Taiphoon is has lemon grass and coriander so it refreshingly spicy. They sell in our waitrose but might be because its a local brewery.

Nice one, are you heading in for the Xmas Brew then?
I'm drinking last years cider at the mo, wow what a difference a couple of months makes. This tastes amazing, so much better than a couple of months ago when I bottled it.
The golden rule, always give a brew a bit of time before passing judgement. Unless of course it tastes rank in which case you have probably have an infection and the sink is the best place for it.
