How authentic do you want it to be?, brewing a proper Maerzen could be tricky.
Fermenting: Marynka pseudo-lager
Maturing/Conditioning:
Drinking: Wheat beer, ESB, Vienna lager & shop bought stuff

You could steep some Carahell malt at the begining then perhaps use a European lager or a German Pilsner kit, add some extra light DME to increase the gravity and steep some hops for half an hour when you turn the heat off, definitely Mittlefruh along with some Tettnang or Saaz.
But here's the tricky bit, for a really authentic Maerzen/Oktoberfest you'll need to use a Munich lager type yeast - Wyeast 2124, 2206, 2308 or 2633 which of course need to be fermented between 8C-14C. Then you'll need to lager the beer for at least 6 weeks at 4C-6C.
But if you just tart up the kit and use the yeast provided you should still be pretty close.

You're not the first.
German lager kit it is then but it'll probably be just that, bog standard German lager and not a Maerzen, keep us posted.
