heh heh .. so that means you're not able to drink it all before it's ready?
    :o)

Nice one nath, very sneaky. Why did you keep it quiet? I remember you saying you were going to do a double brew.

That's heavy duty hops for quite low ABV, is it not quite bitter?

    Planning:Maybe a lager.
    Fermenting:
    Conditioning:Pale with Styrians
    Drinking:Cascade Pale Ale, Summer Lightning

No, its got a kick and a slight lingering bitterness but not at all an unpleasant one. I will pop some over to you to try greg.

Ok ok, I may be a little wrong here. Its got a really really grassy first smell but then its fine to drink, a little necky but has a ok long aftertaste to it. Its fine to drink but good to drink early. I have also found that it better served room temp, anything under that is more harsh.

Looking at the recipe, its not too far away from the tr-hop-ical beer I done. I think its Mouteka's hops which give a harsh but smelly goodness. I dunno, maybe as a light flavour hop with a sweet fruity (but not citrusy) aroma hop would do it good.

Did you do any water treatment on that one?

If not then I would suggest that it what's making it a little harsh.

    Planning:Maybe a lager.

Nah treatments were all all added at the right time an stuff like that. Don't get me wrong its still fine to drink but its changed a lot within a couple of weeks.

Then again what do we all say (alltogether now) -

    CONDITIONING, PATIENCE and PATIENCE!

I reckon its the mouteka flavour hops the more I think about this. I had the same with my tro-hop-ical recipe. It tastes shrap to say the least, a lingering sharpness, one that makes my ulcer go "OWWWWWWWWW!"

    Damn ulcers.
