This is the second time I have brewed this, slightly revised this time with more aroma hops. The aim of this was to do something similar to Badger Golden Champion, flavoured with elderflower. A side by side comparison showed they were identical in colour, last time this recipe had better head retention and was more hopy and less sweet than Golden Champion. The elderflower flavour is subtle but compliments the hops This one is getting bottled today and tastes great from the sample I took yesterday to measure the FG. I plan to do a peach blossom version in the spring as I discovered that a tree in the garden I thought was a willow grew one big peach this year much to my surprise.

Picked up a couple of Badger Tangle Foot tonight and you know what, that is a beer that I have mistakenly written off after sampling a couple of years ago but now I really like it.

Nice mellow light crystal flavour and not too bitter. Deceptively strong at 5% but doesn't taste strong. A really nice brew, highly recommended.

Bought a bottle of this tonight after trying a bottle a couple of weeks ago.

Very gingery but really nice and refreshing. Probably 1 bottle is enough in one session though but give it a go if you see it, tastes really different.

Waitrose have 25% off loads of ales at the moment so I couldn't resist temptation and bought a selection for Saturday nights consumption.

Just opened a Badger Blandford Fly and was quite surprised by the contents. Brewed with Ginger and spice, unusual are really quite pleasant. Starts off with a ginger beer kind of taste but isn't overpowering. Really quite nice.

Like quite a few Badger beers (Golden Glory etc) is strong flavoured so sickly after more than one but I would recommend trying this one as its really different and tasty.
